Goobye Mrs Bayliss

It was Mrs Bayliss’s last day at Glendale today as she is retiring.
She was originally a dinner lady at the old school on Heath End Road, and came to Glendale to work as a cleaner when it opened in 1972. Mrs Bayliss has been our caretaker since 1985. Best wishes for a long and restful retirement, from everyone at Glendale.

Santa’s Setbacks

The Year 1 concert was called “Santa’s Setbacks” and was about all the problems Santa encountered with just a couple of days to go before Christmas.
The children had their own setbacks too as illness and injury meant that several key actors were away from school and missed the concerts, and other children had to step into new roles. Even an hour before the final concert some children were having to learn completely new parts. Well done all the children and staff for putting on an excellent show.
