February Newsletter

Welcome back to the second half of the Spring term.  I hope you all had a good break.

School Nurse Advisory Clinics – between now and the end of the school year we have arranged some advisory drop in sessions with the school nurse.  These sessions are for parents with children at the school to come and discuss any health/medical issues/concerns they may have about their child.  Appointments are not necessary, but will be on a first come first served basis.

Dates:

Monday 25th February
Monday 7th April
Monday 12th May
Monday 9th June
Monday 7th July

The sessions will be held in the staff room between 9-9.30a.m.

Easter Egg Raffle
– we are holding an Easter Egg raffle for the children and are asking parents to donate Easter eggs of any size and kind.  Raffle tickets will be on sale at a price of 10p each, available from the classrooms week beginning 3rd March.   The draw will take place on Wednesday 19th March. Please can you send in any ‘egg’ prizes by Tuesday 18th March).

All assemblies will start at 10.00a.m. prompt.
Any members of the family are welcome to attend class assemblies.

Open Evening
– will be held on Tuesday 18th March – 3-5.00p.m. and 6-7.00pm.  As this is an informal evening no appointments will be made. Open evening is an opportunity for the children to show their work and school to extended family and friends. Teachers will be available should you have any questions.

 

Robots invade Year 2

Year 2 children have been making robots and have taken some photographs of them.

Photographs
All orders for photographs should be returned to school by Friday 1st February.
Orders received after this date will be subject to a late postage charge.

Hot Food
Please can we remind parents that children are not allowed to bring hot soup to school as part of their
packed lunch.

Milk
We would like to remind you that if you would like your child to have milk at break times, this now has to
be ordered through Cool Milk either via the internet or by post. Forms are available from the school office.

Half Term
School closes for Half Term on Friday 8th February 2008 at 3pm.(After school club will be open until 4pm
as usual on Friday 8th).
School re-opens on Tuesday 19th February 2008 at 8.50am.
(Monday 18th February is a training
day).
