Class R1 Assembly

For their first assembly class R1 told us about animals. They each told us their favourite animals and acted the story of one of their favourite books; The Lion And The Mouse. The sang the song Down In The Jungle and showed us pictures they showed us pictures they had mad of animal patterns.

Class 2P Assembly

For their assembly class 2P introduced us to Professor Science who wondered if life on other planets was possible.
They told us about the ‘Goldilocks Zone’ and shared their facts about the planets in our solar system and why they weren’t in the Goldilocks Zone. They also wondered if there was life outside our solar system, what would it look like? They finished by singing their version of Calling Occupants Of Interplanetary Craft.

Class 2R Assembly

Class 2R’s assembly was about exploration. They took us from the 15th and 16th century sailors who explored our world to the the space race of the 1950’s and 1960’s and beyond.

Grammar Girl

Y1 and Y2 were visited by Quantum Theatre who performed Grammar Girl for us.

World Book Day

This week it has been World Book Week at Glendale. Children have brought their favourite books into school and have completed lots of learning based on their books.
On Friday we had a special dress-up day where children and staff came dressed as their favourite book characters.
