This week year 1 and 2 children were visited by some guide dogs.
We learned about how guide dogs are trained, and then got to try different tasks while wearing blindfolds to find out how difficult it can be for blind people to do some things.

Class 2H Assembly
Class 2H’s assembly was about feelings.
Children In Need
Thank you to everyone who supported Children In Need by coming to school in their Pyjamas or something spotty.
We raised over £311.
Class 2R Assembly
Class 2R’s assembly was about Remembrance. The children have made poppies and told us about the significance of the poppy. Some of the children shared the stories of the great-grandfathers who fought and died in World War 1. They ended the assembly by singing some WW1 favourites; It’s A Long Way To Tipperary and Pack Up Your Troubles.
Remembrance Day
With the 100th anniversary of the end of World War 1 children have been learning about the war, and remembrance day.
Year 2 children held their own remembrance service and made a display containing 100 poppies.
